Janet meets with Edl Schamiloglu, Distinguished Professor at the University of New Mexico and President of the SUMMA Foundation, the organization that manages the GlobalEM Symposiums. Edl also serves as Director of the Directed Energy Center at the University of New Mexico (DEC@UNM). GlobalEM 2026 will be held in Seoul, Korea, from June 29 to July 3. In addition to papers and workshops, the technical program features three keynote speakers and seven plenary speakers, all of whom are renowned industry leaders. Edl provides a preview of each speaker’s topic, highlighting the significance of each presentation and its relevance to the future of high-power electromagnetics and intentional electromagnetic interference.
